Fr. Stark, today in his 90s and frail, has been a wonderful priest to everyone who attends his Mass at St. Anne’s chapel in Still River. He still says Mass almost daily; he was a Jesuit and secretary to Thomas Merton whom he admires to this day, whatever Merton’s theological complexities. He was ordained in the new rite by Cardinal Sheehan in Baltimore some 50 years ago. [Photos and video taken by myself. SH].
