The Litany of the Saints (Litaniae Sanctorum) is a formal prayer used in the Catholic Church (and other Christian communities) that asks God for mercy and help while calling on the saints to intercede. It is especially sung during ceremonies like the Easter Vigil and during Holy Orders.
