Old Clerics, New Clerics

Too many of the older Clerics, resting on their truly beautiful liturgical laurels, acted like brutal disciplinarians outside of Mass, especially in early school classrooms.

But too many of today’s clerics have done the truly unthinkable thing: they have turned the greatest and most magnificent liturgical love story into a barren bore, making it hard to get out of bed on Sundays.

Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI avoided both these horrific pitfalls. Today I fear we’re being tempted into boredom again. The political and theological Left root fot Pope Leo. But even many of them don’t get out of bed for him.
