🚨 Correction. Lennon, McCartney and Brahma.

What follows is my mistake which was based on a number of lyrics pages I saw.

After this post was published, the actual White Album recording continued to leave me with some doubts. To resolve the matter I consulted an AI source. I should have checked more thoroughly before I posted. And  I regret the error. Brahma is not mentioned in McCartney’s outtake.

*Brahma is the creator god in Hinduism, part of the Trimurti, which also includes Vishnu and Shiva. He is often depicted with four heads and is associated with the creation of the universe and the Vedas.

Hindus are a very serious people in a serious ancient ascetic religion. Unfortunately The Beatles lifestyles and influence mocked genuine Hinduism even as they promoted it as a way out of Christianity. The same is true of a favorite decadent poet and personal friend of McCartney’s, the late Allen Ginsberg.
