Inside the Psychedelic Elite and the “next level of the human species”

2024 … Timothy Leary remembers Aldous Huxley saying, “We must spread the word… The obstacle to this evolution, Timothy, is the Bible.” Many proponents suggest that drugs can help us “evolve to a more perfected state” – what Stamets called the “next level of the human species”. Highly contingent experiences are presented as “objective” data, and… Read More Inside the Psychedelic Elite and the “next level of the human species”

Philosophers of the New Light

Bad and evil ideas have been far more virulent in history than silver, gold, or geopolitical schemes. Our modern errors arose out of the weeds of bad Christian soil, fueled by concupiscence and backed by diverse and mighty powers. King Henry VIII’s ecclesial revolution in England, born in lust and ending in the vast dissolution of the… Read More Philosophers of the New Light

The Metaphysics of Evolution

While many Catholics, and even some recent Popes, have expressed confused notions about the Darwinian models of evolution, theologians like Fr. Chad Ripperger have sought to go back to the sources of Catholic Christian doctrine and philosophy, citing the sacred guardrails: the sacred Scriptures, the church fathers and Doctors, and the Catholic deductive tradition. “In… Read More The Metaphysics of Evolution

Of UFOs, Apostasy, and Death

Apostasy is cruel. Not only does it walk “the broad way which leads to eternal destruction” (Matthew 7:13), but increasingly, in an age of bewilderment and despair, it leads straightway to temporal destruction as well, whether from AIDS, Fentanyl, euthanasia, or death by one’s own hand. Apostasy is cruel because, as St. Paul says, when… Read More Of UFOs, Apostasy, and Death

Emerging Unripe in a Godless Universe

Consider Materialism. Whatever his origin, if man is presently and constantly “evolving” in a godless universe, then it follows that his thinking, and especially his philosophical views, cannot be worth much ultimately; his thoughts would be inherently unstable, unguided, random, merely emerging fragments in process, or mutation, on route to nowhere. / sh

Being and Bunk.

Apropos of everything: Because Martin Heidegger forsook his early roots in Thomistic [objective] Christian philosophy, the unapologetic Nazi who enjoyed philosophy was forced to create a new and eccentric philosophical superstructure [undecipherable and irrelevant to most human beings] to dodge the consequent existential void. It was necessary because his system toppled the Holy Trinity in… Read More Being and Bunk.

How Evil Thee, Sidney? How Evil We?

“The visionary chemist Sidney Gottlieb was the CIA’s master magician and gentlehearted torturer – the agency’s “poisoner in chief.” As head of the MK-ULTRA mind control project, he directed brutal experiments at secret prisons on three continents. He made pills, powders, and potions that could kill or maim without a trace – including some intended… Read More How Evil Thee, Sidney? How Evil We?
