He Challenges Like Few Others, IMO

He’s over 80 but you’d never know it. He’s highly credentialed in theology and philosophy but you’d never know it.  He has written some of the most insightful, sophisticated books in theology and ecclesiology. He is not afraid to criticize (pointedly, but never arrogantly or flamboyantly.) even the Pope when the coherence of Catholic and moral theology is involved. And he infuses everything he writes or says with a deep sense of humility, especially when gravely concerned about an issue. And he won’t back down. He would do anything for love —but he won’t do that.
