Abiding Patriarchy

“The Patriarchs” of the ten tribes are men whose God-given task, even to risking death, is to protect family, especially women and daughters when in danger; because woman carries the very future in her womb.

Hierarchy in Church and family has no retirement or expiration date. But even many so-called conservative (or ‘Trad’) couples are actually effeminate in orientation, as shown by their daily attitudes, how they treat their spouses, their behaviors and choices, no matter how pious appearing otherwise. So what will the children learn? What will the future of authority become for such?

The Collapse of Patriarchy and the Egalitarian Alternative

The contempt for ontological hierarchy is nearly complete in our age and is a sign of the times.

The Marian v. Eve Mentality.

Excerpts, Tradcatfem writes, “… A Patriarch simply refers to the male head of a family, church, community, clan, tribe and so on…” But there is against biblical order the Eve Mentality…

Men and women are created differently, but because we women defer to men and rely on their leadership and guidance does not make us inferior to them.

We may be different in function and roles, but we are also complementary to each other.

“We cannot profess to be Christian women if we rebel against patriarchy in Biblical teaching.

Here are just a few examples of patriarchy within the Bible:

ISAIAH 57 : 15 – God Himself is the Patriarch of all patriarchs. Our Father.
1 COR  11: 3 and 1 TIM 2: 13. Eph. 5 – Men are ordained to lead in the Church and home.

1 COR  11: 3 and 1 TIM 2: 13. Eph. 5 – Men are ordained to lead in the Church and home.

1 COR  11: 3 and 1 TIM 2: 13. Eph. 5 – Men are ordained to lead in the Church and home.

“The patriarchy is there to provide for us, defend us, protect us and much more, so quit whining and give thanks to God for the patriarchs in your life, be it your father, brother, Uncle, priest, husband or a male figure who is an inspiration to you.

Don’t have an honourable patriarch in your life?

Go to Joseph.  He will be your patriarch and if in search of a spouse, he would bring you a virtuous man and true patriarch to guide, protect and provide for you.

St Joseph, light among patriarchs, pray for us”

The Family’s Threat to Utopia

FAMILY in FACT

Even marriage can never negate this perpetual, hierarchical obligation:

The Scriptures: Honor Your parents.

***

Genesis 9. “And Noah, a husbandman, began to till the ground, and planted a vineyard.

21 And drinking of the wine was made drunk, and was uncovered in his tent.

22 Which when Cham the father of Chanaan had seen, to wit, that his father’s nakedness was uncovered, he told it to his two brethren without.

23 But Sem and Japheth put a cloak upon their shoulders, and going backward, covered the nakedness of their father: and their faces were turned away, and they saw not their father’s nakedness”

Cham was cursed for exposing the fault, weakness or mistake of his father. His brothers were blessed for seeking the honorable remedy.

“Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. — Prov. 23:23

“A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother —Proverbs 15:29

How sharper than a serpent’s tooth is to have a thankless child” — King Lear, William Shakespeare

My child, take care of your father when he grows old; give him no cause for worry as long as he lives. 13 Be sympathetic even if his mind fails him; don’t look down on him just because you are strong and healthy. 14 The Lord will not forget the kindness you show to your father; it will help you make up for your sins. —Sirach 3:12-14″He that afflicteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is infamous and unhappy” — Prov. 19:26.

Eph. 5: 21 Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ22 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. 24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
