Time Out. Sinatra. You Should Have Told Me Long Ago…

Goodbye, What’s Now Is Now and The Train are all excerpts from Sinatra’s concept ( i.e., single narrative) album ‘Watertown’ (1970).  It charts the story of a middle-aged man in Watertown, New York, whose wife has left him with his children.” Watertown” was produced and co-written by Bob Gaudio, one of four members of the 1960s pop vocal group The Four Seasons. The songs were co-written by Jake Holmes.

You should have told me long ago

Next: Goodbye (she quietly says)

Excerpt #2: You should have told me long ago… What’s now is now…

Excerpt # 3: The Train…

Wikipedia states, “The album was released to mixed critical reviews and poor sales, with it being Sinatra’s only major album release not to chart in the top 100 of the Billboard 200. It has since been reevaluated and many consider it to be among his finest albums.”
