National vs. International Governance

Quoting Aquinas, Burke and John Fortescue, former member of Parliament (2010-2024) Jacob Rees-Mog recalls the timeless principles of traditional government versus the horrific footprints of modern internationalism. This speech was given at the London National Conservatism Conference on May 15, 2023. In it he lambasted so-called Conservatives and “Lefties” who advocate anti-family policies and reckless migration policies which only serve to strengthen the new Socialist states whose failed principles are the disgrace of history.

Jacob Rees-Mogg was Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 6 September 2022 to 25 October 2022.

He was previously Minister of State (Minister for Brexit Opportunities and Government efficiency) in the Cabinet Office between 8 February 2022 and 6 September 2022.

He was Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons from 24 July 2019 to 8 February 2022.

Jacob read history at Trinity College Oxford before working in finance, initially in Hong Kong and then in London. In 2007 he helped establish Somerset Capital Management, which specialises in investment management in global emerging markets.

In 2010 Jacob was elected the Conservative MP for North East Somerset and served until July of this year.
